Thank you for visiting Neighborhood Services Organization! NSO has been serving the Oklahoma City community since the 1920’s. In 1969, our name was changed to Neighborhood Services Organization. We are dedicated to helping the people in our city who are in need.
Mission Statement: We are a faith-based organization serving the at risk and homeless population by providing housing solutions and teaching skills to transform lives.
Learn more about us and how our innovative programs began by reading our history and guiding principles at About Us.
Read about our Permanent Housing and discover why we lead the region in permanent supportive housing for the mentally ill and why so many other agencies come to us for consultation in this area. You’ll find information about our award winning apartment complex known as Palo Duro.
Through our well known Transitional Housing developments, NSO serves homeless families, expecting mothers, and young males by providing them housing. We also provide them with a wide range of LIFE SKILLS classes to help make them more self-sufficient.
We offer two main categories of Health Services: Dental Services and WIC Clinics. You can learn more about our ground breaking Dental Services located in our main building at 431 SW 11th St., Oklahoma City. Over 45,000 clients a year find help at our WIC clinics. These clinics offer the clients parenting classes, a carseat safety program, a head lice program and nutritional education for expecting mothers.
Our Monetary Assistance programs see roughly 8,000 people applying for help with rent or mortgage payments and utility assistance each year.
Our story is told best by the people that we are privileged to serve. We have been privileged to serve many special people and designed programs to accommodate their needs. From our state of the art facilities, to our ground breaking LIFE SKILLS and LIFE ENHANCEMENT PROGRAMS, we hope that you are inspired to join us as partners in service.
